I find a watercolor one of the most inspiring art materials and enjoy a lot to work with it every time. Watercolor is especially nice for expressing the translucent, delicate texture and shiny shades of flower petals. In this case, a had a splendid bouquet of tulips, white spiffy with wide opened bud, violet tulips with furry edges and elegant pink buds. I tried to avoid a classic still life composition canons and break up a habitual dimension of the surface. To achieve it, I also added some elements, as a fragment of the blue patterned plate.
